Eligibility
All full-time and part-time employees who have been with Zendesk Demo Divsion for at least 12 months are eligible for parental leave. This applies to both the primary and secondary caregivers.
Duration of Leave
- Primary Caregiver: The primary caregiver is entitled to up to 16 weeks of paid leave.
- Secondary Caregiver: The secondary caregiver is entitled to up to 4 weeks of paid leave.
Paid Leave
Parental leave is fully paid based on the employee's regular salary. This financial support allows our employees to focus on their growing family without the added stress of financial concerns.
Additional Benefits
During the parental leave period, employees will continue to receive their regular benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance. Employees will also continue to accrue vacation and sick leave.
Flexibility
We understand that every family’s needs are different, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. Employees have the option to take their leave all at once or to break it up into smaller segments. This can be particularly useful for families who may want to spread out their time off over several months.
Returning to Work
Employees returning from parental leave have the option to ease back into their work schedule through a phased return. This can include working part-time for a short period or a flexible work-from-home arrangement.
Application Process
- Notify HR: Inform the HR department about your upcoming parental leave at least 8 weeks in advance.
- Submit Documentation: Provide the necessary documentation, including a leave request form and any required medical certification.
- Approval: HR will review your request and provide confirmation of your leave period and benefits.
